Snake

Snake

Mexican Black King snake (Lampropeltis getula nagrita). Completely black and growing up to 5 feet long, these snakes can only be described as a thing of beauty. They are found in Mexico and Arizona. Juveniles can have a few speckles of white or yellow which fade with age and shedding.King snakes are known for their habit of eating other snakes, even venomous ones. Their primary source of food in the wild is lizards, small mammals, birds, and other snakes.Snakes are thought to be slimy and have a bad reputation for being evil. Once you meet and understand a snake you will see that they are very misunderstood. Snakes have scales just like all reptiles. They are smooth, sleek, and beautiful. They are different from lizards because they have no external ears, they only hear vibrations.
